Female Diversity Programs for FT Recruitment?

Hey guys,

I'm a junior at a semi-target school (Top 3 Liberal Arts), and will be interning at a BB this summer in IBD. My girlfriend, who is also a junior, was interested in pursuing a policy / government career, but this fall has become interested in getting into banking. The bummer is that she missed out on all of the diversity programs for women to help them get the SA position, which is particularly unfortunate because given her strong academic performance (3.8+ gpa) she would have had a pretty solid shot, I think, at getting an offer.

What we're both now wondering is whether her being a female will be helpful for full time recruiting. If it helps, our school does have a pretty strong presence on Wall Street, so reaching out to alumni is not going to be a problem (networking definitely played a large role in me landing my offer). Obviously, the odds are stacked against anyone without a SA experience, but does anyone have any insight into what her best path forward might be at this point?

Thanks in advance for any help!
