Finance Degree Apprenticeships

Hi,

I am currently in Year 13 at sixth form in the UK. As an alternative option to university I am applying to degree apprenticeships at J.P. Morgan and UBS. Both of these come with Applied Finance degrees from Exeter University. It would be great to hear from past degree apprentices or people more senior from these firms/similar firms what their opinions are on these! I am aiming to end up within IB or Wealth Management ultimately. Both have lower A-Level requirements of BBB but I believe this is due to the extensive assessment process during recruitment.

Just to add to this I have already done work experience at J.P. Morgan over the summer. So advice on how to utilise this in interviews would also be appreciated!

Most of these apprenticeships won’t actually lead directly to a role in IB. From what I’ve seen (some of my friends do them) they lead to Mid/Back office. Sure, I think there are some decent wealth management ones i’ve seen fwiw.
