Finding and Maintaining Mentors
Due to how convoluted and difficult the process of breaking into IB is, especially since I am nondiverse/non-nepo, I wish that I had mentors to help me out.
At my target school, I already met and talked to experienced upperclassmen who gave me advice for clubs and helped me get into the top club at my target school.
However, what can I do to find additional mentors?
Additionally, I do not just want to ask them for advice, as it also makes me look like a parasitic tryhard, but want to form a genuine relationship with them, such as having dinner or doing things together. What are things that I can do that portray my genuine intent without looking like a hardo?
Any other tips in finding/maintaining mentors will be greatly appreciated.
