Firm Fee Structure - Which Firms Are Getting Screwed

I hope to keep this post strictly to those in the industry.

This is a zero B.S. post.

1.) What is your firms current fee structure?

2.) What are your thoughts about the comparability of the fee structure to other firms?

3.) What is the firms average EBITDA range? (Exclude the EBITDA criteria listed upon the firms website... Actual Average EBITDA)

4.) How long has the firm been around?

5.) Is the firm industry specific or a generalist firm?

6.) How many deals close per year at your firm?

7.) What would you change about the fee structure?

I will start..

Middle-Market Firm

1.) What is your firms current fee structure?

$50,000 Retainer 2% $1 to $150 Million 1% over $150 Million .75% over $500 Million + $500,000 Kicker at Closing

2.) What are your thoughts about the comparability of the fee structure to other firms?

I believe this is an average fee structure. However, I have nothing to compare it to. (Reason for my post)

3.) What is the firms average EBITDA range? (Exclude the EBITDA criteria listed upon the firms website... Actual Average EBITDA)

$15 Million to $20 Million

4.) How long has the firm been around?

12 Years

5.) Is the firm industry specific or a generalist firm?

Generalist Firm

6.) How many deals close per year at your firm/group?

Goal is 10 but average is 4 (Lame)

7.) What would you change about the fee structure?

I have to read everyone's post and then I will come back and fill this in.
