First IB Job Location
I'm a college senior currently looking for my first investment banking gig. Just curious to hear your thoughts on office location --- if I were to work in a city with little IB activity, would I be pigeonholing myself?
EDIT: I made a post like this two weeks ago, but it didn't show up in my recent posts, so I thought I never posted it. I apologize for the doubled thread.
Interested as well
I thought full time recruiting was over...
You're too late to the party if you're asking about ib recruiting 2nd semester senior year, regardless of where you look.
Boutique banks, that is.
No, its not that hard to move locations, your bank and experience will be the biggest factors in your next job search. That being said it is easier to interview when you're in the same city and often times local candidates will get preferential treatment over you.
