First Rounds with different divisions in one firm

What do you suggest one do if they have first round interviews with two different divisions within one firm (BB)?

I spoke with an alumni once who said that does not happen? Is this true (obviously it's not in my case but that clearly means HR is not communicating properly or something)?

FO/FO definitely happens. At MS, this often happens with IBD & GCM (capital markets).

Your interviewer(s) will most likely know that you are interviewing with another division within the same firm, so be prepared if they ask which one you would pick if you got offers from both. You may also have 1 interviewer from each division interviewing you together... which can get awkward.

What if you've had a first round with one division and are having another first round with the other division?

Additionally, what if you have two scheduled first rounds with different divisions? Are you positive that the firm is aware of this?

what's even weirder is that the firms have not complied/been using the OCR system to notify me of anything -- I submitted my resume through there but all correspondence has been via email/phone and in fact, there's been an instance where I've scheduled a first round interview and my OCR indicated to me that I was declined for that division....
