Currently an algebra teacher (best job ever), planning on getting an MSF degree. Suppose I get a boutique IBD gig following my masters. Assuming pay differential is significant, I'd try to lateral into a BB gig after 1-2 years. Suppose all this works out; will I come in as a first year analyst all over again?

Why not try straight for the BB after the MSF?
Sure, that's my preference. From what I've gathered, however, it is unlikely to place into BB IBD from MSF programs.
Is that even true for the top tier places like vandy?
