Fratty IBD Groups

I keep seeing people describe specific IBD groups as "Fratty". As someone who is in the fraternity, I am still slightly confused. Does this refer to the wardrobe/drinking/slang habits? Or is there some underlying approach of the group of handling things/designating work that is different from other groups?

Also, could someone comment about other group types (like nerds)? Does this type of thing actually impact people's choices of choosing teams?

why?  im not saying that asians or hispanics can't be "fratty".

what im saying, is generally the usage of the term "fratty" in terms of IB groups/teams generally coincides with a team of mostly white american born males.

Banking has a lot more women now and Indians/Asians (many on Visas) in banking.  There's a FIG group at my bank that's probably 50% people not born in the USA.  Several of our teams are the same (american BB)    There are still some groups that look like the typical 1980s bullpen.  People think of them as fratty. (harris williams, blair etc)
