FT IB Tier 3 Offer (Mizuho, Berenberg, BNP, etc.) or prestigious Master Scholarship (Schwarzman, Yenching, Rhodes etc.) Offer?

Which one would be a better financial/career choice with a higher probability to eventually get into Tier 1 IB and/or PE/HF?

All of these programs (Schwarzman (Master of Global Affairs), Yenching (Master in Chinese Studies, Economics and Management), Rhodes (any graduate program)) are 100% scholarships for 1-2 years and all of them are prestigious. Not sure if it is a better choice than going straight to a Tier 3 Bank FT after graduation.

Personally, I would not put Schwarzman or Yenching in the same sentence as the Rhodes since the latter really is in a category of its own.

Having said that, if the goal is to get into IB or PE/HF, Schwarzman might actually be your best shot, since Steve Schwarzman himself will essentially go to bat for you and leverage his rolodex to land you a job in finance. Worth mentioning that Schwarzman Scholars is distinctly more professionally oriented compared to the Rhodes or Yenching and you will be with a cohort of people who already come from a finance background (i.e. already completed an analyst stint) or are interested in pursuing finance. This is not an overgeneralization, you can safely assume that Schwarzman = pursuing private sector, Rhodes/Yenching = pursuing academia, government, etc., in addition to private sector.

Just to clarify, with "again" you mean "against" and with .. you mean something bad, right? haha
