FT Recruiting Before Starting Internship
Landed an internship offer at a decent BB for Summer '26, but am thinking about potentially recruiting FT at other banks. Just wanted advice about the timeline of the process and specifically email etiquette when reaching out to analysts. Should I name the bank I received an offer from/include a resume with the bank name attached (or even mention I have an offer)? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Would not recommend. FT recruiting is a sprint. No one is tracking calls so early on. The upside is limited while the downside could be word getting out and you get your offer rescind (low chance, but possible)
Do you think mentioning an offer (but not bank name/resume) is a good idea to establish some level of credibility? Or just going into it and treating it like normal networking email (resume attached and offer mentioned)?
I would not network before starting FT if its a bank to bank lateral. Just do your networking after fourth of July. If we have a FT need come late July/ early august, and you are at a reputable group, you might not even need a chat I would just push the resume in since we are trying to wrap the process asap.
If you are BB/EB trying to go buyside FT that is a different conversation.
What if you're in Middle Market IB but in a decent group and trying to rerecruit either to BB/EB or ideally buyside FT? Realize it's vague, but wanna understand options
