Times are unprecedented, i would say make sure you not even close to the bottom 10% of your training class. Remember tons of kids would kill for the job, so don't be an idiot and lose it because you didn't care about training. It could definitely happen, especially if companies have overhired and are looking for ways to cut headcount.
80/100 is the cutoff line
if u score below 80, they will give u another chance
^ this is @ citi??
Dude, you can't laid off during training...can you? They'll have to give u three months as severance then won't they?
People have been laid of during training in the past
At my bank, and I assume others, you get 2 chances to pass the series 7. If you fail twice you're SOL.
It's like at this law firm where my friend said they fire you if you can't pass the bar exam.
I never use the words "never" and "laid off" in the same sentence (except for this one). Granted its an unlikely scenario but I wouldn't take anything off the table these days.
As someone said, make sure you're not being noticed for the wrong reasons... i.e. bottom 5-10%.
