Full Time Class of ‘24 Status - Urgent Question
Hi all. Can any banker or anyone with intelligence on this front confirm or provide color on the hiring status of full time first year analyst for class of 24 (this upcoming analyst class). I have not seen an application in 2+ months. I’ve read on here that apps will start rolling out in the spring, though, I have not heard one recruiter or banker back that notion up. I don’t want false hope, I want to know the reality so I can prepare effectively as I still am jobless and go to a good college with good gpa and good internships. Realistically, will firms open up apps in spring? Or do i have false hope. Any insight is extremely helpful here. Thanks all.
I know the pulse said that FT 24 is wrapped up but with that said I’d say you could maybe network and apply to smaller less well known niche places
Would highly recommend delaying graduation
What if graduation is schedule this spring semester? Then do grad school?
too late to delay graduation now
^ yes
Not true for us
try to recruit for a summer internship for 2024 and delay ur graduation, that's your best option as full time recruiting has pretty much been finished up
What banks r still looking for SA for 2024??? Didn’t everything finish months ago? Curious to hear if I’m wrong here. Thank u
At my bank the 2024 class is completely full.
At this point if there are no leads I would strongly look into delaying graduation or applying to an MSF/some similar masters.
Delaying graduation for a semester - what would that do? Is there roles that start in the winter for full time graduates?
No but you can intern this summer for a full time role next summer.
Do an msf
I am in the same position and had a question about getting a msf. Would I still need to get a internship for this upcoming summer or prepare and wait to recruit FT with no internship?
Please don’t listen to the idiots on this thread…
Sure IB might be something you wanted to do right away post graduation. Just because you don’t have a position lined up doesn’t mean that you need to push back ur graduation or take on the financial burden of a masters degree.
Both of those options do not guarantee the outcome u are wanting, improves ur odds ? Maybe, the people on this thread have no solid proof to back that anyways.
Ur best bet would be getting a full time position that you can use as a stepping stone to leverage into a full time IB role when more opportunities present themselves.
