Full Time W/O Summer

I applied to many different I Banks for the summer analyst position, and despite interviewing with 8 firms, of which I got to finals with 3, I did not receive a single offer.

I have some options over the summer, including working at the same finance department I did last summer (local small business, 30 employees), or working for a young (7-year old) tech consulting company.

Do I still have a chance at getting any full-time looks next year, or am I basically done because I won't have the IB summer work experience?

Econ-Math double major, 3.8 GPA, semi-target LAC Thanks

There's no one-size fits all answer here. You need to have thick skin, make some adjustments and cast a wide net for FT interviews.

PLEASE DONT CHANGE EXCEL SHORTCUTS!!!

Focus on getting something good and original on your CV, even offering to work at places for free if they would look good on paper. I personally wouldn't go back to the same place, better to have a variety of things.

Don't go back to the same place and have an answer for "why didn't you work in banking this past summer?" Obviously, "I couldn't get a job anywhere" is not the right answer. Your interviewer probably realizes this too, but will still be looking for an original answer. Suggest maybe even travelling abroad for the summer to volunteer or teach as then you will have something fresh to talk about.
