Gathering Information and Making Sense of it.

I'm fairly new to the I.B world I just started my junior year at a non target school. I realized that I have a up hill battle in front me. Nevertheless I'm doing all I can to make myself as competitive as possible. However i'm finding it difficult to keep up to date with the deals that are going and anything else that is going on in the I.B world.

So, where do you guys get your information what websites, articles, or newspapers do you all read to keep up to date with what's going on? I listen to Bloomberg and CNBC as much as possible but sometimes it feels very superficial.

The finance page of the Wall Street Journal is standard for deals. I peak at bloomberg markets "5 things you need to know to start your day" for a good macro view. Other than that it seems like the best idea when looking for deals is getting super micro. Ex. Telecom M&A see the AT&T deal that is underway. (it was in the wsj)
