General GPA Requirements for IB??

I keep hearing people need to have a 3.3 or 3.5 but when I spoke with someone from an EB he mentioned that most kids they take are near the top of their class having usually 3.8-4.0 gpa aside from a few exceptions

Is this how most places filter resumes? I only have a 3.5 gpa

I just finished recruiting last semester. I would personally say a 3.7 and above is 100% fine. A 3.5 or a 3.6 is definitely doable but might raise some questions during recruiting. That is my general understanding, but I could be off. if anyone has another point of view feel free to add to this.
