Getting Bored at Banking

I’m an mba associate in banking for 2 yrs. The first year was fine - I didn’t know much and felt like I was learning a lot everyday.

Now I’ve mastered modeling, slides, execution, etc. and are getting very bored at work. Especially when it comes with running processes. I’m a very organized person and keeping track of projects / sending hundreds of email everyday is so easy for me. But I don’t use my brain at all for these kind of tasks - what skillsets I’m getting out of these execution processes?

Besides the bonus day, the only day I got excited, everyday was just so boring. What should I do to keep myself motivated?

analyst, nearly 2nd year. Feeling is mutual. I keep my-self occupied with buy-side prep and networking whenever I don't run across something interesting. Prospects are probably different for associates but I'm sure there are investing roles across the many stages of the business cycle and cap-structure you could think about transitioning to. Or it maybe its a group issue; perhaps your bored with your coverage/product and not the industry as a whole? Ultimately if you stick with it, the role becomes more client facing which is high pressure and far more stimulating (or at-least that's what I've been told).
