Getting into Investment Banking

I'm currently still studying, but I've been thinking about my future for a long time and need some good advice. Is it easier later, when I joined a Tier 2 IB, for example, to fight my way up to a Tier 1 IB, simply because experience is worth more these days, or would it be easier to do another Master's degree and still hope to get a better start? I'm very unsure about this and don't know what is smarter?
