Every single Goldman banker I have talked to seems to have no emotions whatsoever. They never seem fatigued, they never seem excited, they are just stuck in this very neutral, very business state of expression.
Does anyone else feel the same way or want to shine some light on this?

Perhaps the sample of Goldmans bankers you met is not large enough. In my experience, Morgan bankers are the same, while Citi bankers seem to be a rowdier lot.
Every bank has a different culture and therefore attracting different people.. Choose the bank with the people you want to work with..
