Goldman - Opportunity to interview with a team
May have an opportunity to interview with a team in Goldman equity research.
Anyone have friends that have or still work in GS research? Is it considered as prestigious as Goldman IB?

no way. Goldman's research isn't bad from what I hear, not at the very top, but it's still respectable, but it is very far from GS IB.
personally I really don't like GS research reports (not to say their research analysts suck, just the way the firm makes them put their reports together). Much prefer MS, Citi, CS and Bear reports - way easier to find what I need.
Strictly from a user's standpoint, I find Bear and UBS to produce good reports.
I was actually looking to hear opinions on GS's reputation in research on the street - not whether you like their reports or not.
