GPA for Investment Banking
Hi, I’m a freshman at a high semi target to low target school as a CS Econ major. My first semester didn’t go how I wanted since I ended up with a C- in Calc, I plan on getting all A’s this semester and Fall 2026. This will put me around a 3.73 GPA.
Do you think that’s still good for IB recruiting, especially with a CS Econ double major?
Yeah, a 3.7+ is good enough at a target. You can try to push it to above a .8 for EBs
If I have anything below a 3.8, it would be very difficult or put me at a disadvantage for EBs.
No your gpa matters but just to check to box. Anything above a 3.6 is fine, preferably a 3.7 Just focus on building your resume and experiences and network. You’ll be fine!
