GPA for the already-hired
Hi, I'm starting as an analyst this summer. They want an updated copy of my resume. I...slacked off bigtime this semester on the academic front (but was quite dedicated to extracurricular leadership and happy hours), and while I have a few nice new lines about running student orgs and the like, my gpa is now officially 3.49. It wasn't astronomical by any means when they hired me but I could see someone having a negative impulse reaction to below A-. Should I just round to a 3.5? Does it matter? Any advice?
The only reason I ask is though I have been put in a group, the specific teams pick their analysts during training, and I do have a slight preference for a few of the teams over the others.
Dude, a 3.49 or 3.5 isnt going to make much of a difference... most people you've been hired with will be 3.7-4.0's.
Good job on getting the offer, DO NOT lie/fib in any way that can potentially hurt you. You are in already.
Now how do you know that?
I know plenty of people, personally, within the 3.0-3.5 range.
I've seen people from 3.2 to 4.0. He's right, don't worry about the .01.
