They've decided you're too valuable of a candidate to give up... if you read the terms and agreements when you initially submitted you application you would've known this could have happened - they pretty much own you now. You can try locking your doors or go into hiding, but I would imagine you'll find yourself waking up in the next few days chained in their bullpen with a fat "GS" branded on your face.
...In all seriousness it means nothing. Could be an error on their part with the tech, most likely because they closed to application and are done with recruiting and just forgot to send you a notification/delete the portal page.

My guess would be that they have screened your application so therefore, you can no longer withdraw the application.
I was contacted by HR regarding the dates and times I was available for an interview.
The interview got postponed as I was told hiring was on hold due to lockdown.
After, my status remained in “Resume under review”, but my withdrawal button disappeared.
What does this mean?
