GS Industrials NYC vs EVR Tech Menlo Park

Two lateral opportunities on hand as an associate. Would love tech coverage but cant just simply pass on GS brand (and does not hate covering industrials) and NYC premium for potential optionality/career progression.

I’m A2A at lower BB. Thinking buyside/corp dev exit down the road.

Congrats on two great offers. Know people in both groups - EVR MP has been getting absolutely crushed and a bunch of its ASOs have left. Group heads make the bank a ton of $$ so HR let’s them get away with the brutal WFB trickled down. GS Industrials is huge and you can likely focus on tech enabled services as you start to specialize here. As you said you can’t go wrong with the GS brand. Also NYC and MP are two very different places - I would seriously think about if you’re more of a suburban or city dweller and your particular ties to each city. Good luck!
