Guggenheim Sophomore FOCUS 2022

Just wanted to start a thread for anyone who applied! Looks like everyone should hear back by Feb. 18th according to the flyer for the program. If anyone hears back earlier feel free to let us know.

I can't speak to the whole process as I'm only involved in one of the campus teams (applications are separated by target schools, and then non targets are grouped by region). For a target school we were looking at a bit less of a 5% acceptance rate. Not sure how that differs for non-target. What I've felt around the firm with talking with my fellow analysts is that networking does matter. A lot of high GPAs and comparable experiences, you gotta find other ways to differentiate and get your name across. A lot of 4.0 students unfortunately didn't make the cut.

My guess is that you are on the short-list if you haven’t heard back yet. Like I said, probably on-deck if people turn down offers. RSVP to the program was supposed to be submitted by end of day yesterday.

I gotcha, thanks for the info! So did people who were automatically ruled out receive an email saying so? Either way, thanks for the heads up

did anyone receive an email just now saying they can't accommodate anyone? Guess it's rejection even tho it wasn't explicitly stated
