HC IBD at Oppenheimer - Any input or insight would be appreciated

Yes understand that. But, i heard they have only seven people in the HC group. That's why i asked. Anyone knows a story behind this?

Hear from a friend's friend that their team is bigger than 7. I don't know how you can run that lean, 7 is pretty lean. That's like what... 3 MDs and 1 VP 1 Associate and 2 analysts? I hear they are pretty solid, if you are looking at Oppenheimer, hear it's probably the best bet in the firm.

A VP there told me that they had SIX rounds of layoffs last year. (Imagine surviving 5 rounds and being let go!). Perhaps that's why they're so lean. But they are looking to rebuild now.

Are you asking how many senior bankers they have or how many people are in the group including analysts, and associates? They have 20-25 total in healthcare, ~10 of whom are senior bankers.

NCtoNYC - are you sure about the stat? The stat i had (seven people all in as of now) came from a well known insider.
