HELP ASAP - take an offer or keep interviewing?

Hi everyone,

I'm a non-finance major and a bit lost at the moment because I need some advice on internship offers and none of my friends or mentors/advisors are in finance or tech. I'm really interested in pursuing VC in the future and have gotten some offers that I'm not sure will set me up best for that. My ideal internship would be one where I would learn the most and would have the broadest amount of opportunities available to me afterwards (since I'm not 100% sure of what I want to do). The only people I know knowledgeable enough to answer my questions are at these companies and are trying to sell their position - I would really appreciate an outsider's opinion

Offers:

Capital Markets @ JPM/GS/MS

TMT IB @ boutique bank (respected but not elite)

Consultant @ Big 4

Upcoming interviews:

Product Management @ Top 5 software company (not FAANG)

Consultant @ MBB (high unlikely for me)

Trading @ JPM/MS/GS

Any advice would be helpful. I can PM as well

At this point the only interview I would look/prepare heavily for is Consultant MBB.  This one seems to fit your wants the best.

However you have great offers already.  And you can't really go wrong with any of these.  Here is my opinion on these.

Capital Markets @ JPM/GS/MS - Good overall choice - Strong brand name - Depending on group Placement maybe hard afterwards and may require internal mobility for better exits. (AKA ECM to M&A to PE/VC)

TMT IB @ boutique bank (respected but not elite) - maybe slightly limiting to finance track - Based on quality of bank placement might be hard in PE/VC

Consultant @ Big 4 -  Once again can't really go wrong here,  Good generalist role, don't know enough about consulting to tell you where big 4 stands

I think you have 3 very solid offers there. Your decision ultimately depends on how interested you are in consulting. CM at a top BB (like you listed) is a very good gig. Plus, you could lateral to another segment in the BB in a year or two (you'll have an edge). TMT at a boutique is also a solid gig. The question there is just if you want to do TMT. If not, I would consider the consulting and CM roles. I usually play things safer than sorry, but your options ideally look like your 3 offers and the consulting role at MBB. If you don't think you can get it, then take one of the offers.
