HL career advice

I am a sophomore in college with dreams of doing buy side. A close family member died in January which really screwed with interviews/mentally. I ended up getting a portfolio valuations role for 2026 summer at HL and I have two choices: double major and extended grad by a year (not that hard for me to get a second math degree) and rerecruit or take the job and chill out for the rest of college. The money is not a factor for me (I have a full ride), and I care way more about being on a good track for the rest of my life. What would you recommend doing if buyside is the end goal.
