HL RX & M&A Starts Phone Screens

Have a bunch of friends who have HL RX and M&A phone screens this week and the next - seems absurd how early the process is this year. Do people think the process will continue to accelerate and what can we do to slow the process down? Do people feel prepared? A bit freaked out

Kids have been networking at the EB’s for months now - usually H/W kids. I can’t speak for all the rx boutiques, but I can say some of the “hot” ones have already scheduled stuff on handshake and asked people on campus to spread the word. HL always has its info session early, but the actual super is never until later (lol M&A is a much diff animal)

I signed my offer with EB RX in March when I recruited so seems about time. RBC and Citi were always in Jan/Feb if not earlier - friend almost got duped into signing RBC a month before any of the offers started (tempting when you j want to get it over with). I was always told by my mentors to call starting in late Jan, and that put me on the radar at most places

No one ik would network this early for HL M&A from a target...but ok I guess

Saying “duped” shows how entitled you truly are. Your friend was offered a job, not tricked into giving his social security number to a Nigerian prince.

RBC and HL are great banks. If you have no other offers, both will provide amazing opportunities for your career. Nobody listen to this guy.

In b4, “shill!” “Found the RBC intern” etc. I’m going to GS/MS/JPM in one of the top coverage groups on the street and I’m at a target. Had multiple offers to decide between.
