How do I learn about a specific group?

I’ll be speaking with a specific group at a specific bank soon. I’m being vague because I don’t want to dox the group (it’s a product group at a BB), but I’ve basically networked/“informally interviewed” my way into a process. The group I networked with didn’t have any open seats but has passed me on to another group that expressed an interest.

Is there an easy way to find out which deals this group has worked on, what this group’s “niche” is, etc… without knowing people on the inside?
