How do I leverage great SA bosses?
Just finishing up my sophomore SA at an unknown VC boutique firm in Toronto, I did a lot of cool work and my bosses really liked me, invited me back next summer and offered to help me out in the future. They are pretty well connected within the boutique/MM space in Toronto and offered to write me great references if I asked. Do job postings typically ask for/solicit references? Should I just get them to write references on my LinkedIn account? Do people check those out? Also, whats the best way to leverage their contacts? Just get them to get me in contact with their IBD/S&T friends?
