How do you address your Achilles heel when networking?

Mine is a subpar GPA. It sucks when you connect really well with the other person, stay in touch leading up to recruiting and when they say "send me your resume", its like a slap in the face and makes them think twice about recommending you as a candidate.

It sucks because I feel like I've lost personal relationships because I approach networking as a means of finding friends/mentors in the industry, rather than how do I get a recommendation or a job from them. In one instance, when I followed up regarding my application status, he didn't reply and forwarded my inquiry to HR for a response.

So for those of you who have found themselves in a similar situation.. do you preface this up front? Or how have you been able to get around this?

Are you joking? 3.3? Converting this into UK Grades, that would be a decent average and you would be totally fine for IBD. What are you guys doing in the US?

Don´t say this in a banking interview: Which superhero would you be and why? I want to be like Robin Hood, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor - me.
