How do you deal with a "bad" analyst?

I'm a lateral Associate at a EB in NY. I started out as an Analyst at another EB, but lateraled to work on a different coverage team. I've been getting good feedback after my first year here, but I found that managing Analysts is a very difficult part of the job.

I'm specifically on a deal team where the Analyst is competent technically and works hard, but pushes back and questions everything. This is a problem that I have with just this Analyst. Has someone dealt with this type of situation?

How do you maintain a cordial, friendly team atmosphere while still making it clear that there is still a time and place to "push back?" It's not as if this is a 2nd year analyst, but a 1st year. I don't want to be known as "that Associate", but how do you deal with this type of situation?
