How do you manage relationships as an analyst?

I just finished my summer internship with an EB in the RX group and accepted the return offer. I came into this career eyes-wide-open regarding the hours, but now that I am in my senior year of University I find myself wondering how are you maintaining friendships and creating relationships while FT? Does this even happen? Most of the analysts (at least to my knowledge, not something I asked about) were single / found it very hard to maintain romantic relationships. Is this the case throughout IB?

I am not sure what I want going forward...I enjoy RX and find it interesting enough to consider staying for the long-haul. I also find certain paths in the buy-side interesting but it seems as though the hours / WLB does not meaningfully improve. While trying to pursue what I want, I simultaneously do not want to commit my entire life to my career. Yet, I noticed almost all of the VP's and up were either engaged or married. Any thoughts on this?
