79 is a bit more difficult than the SIE. More limited in scope but higher technicality. For a finance major you should be fine to study for this in a week or 10 days, but a non-finance major this will be a harder exam
The 63 is quick and easy - 2 or 3 days is enough
Huge.
Unfortunately a philosophy major, but experience from internship / prep courses.
Gonna give it like 3 weeks or so.
Thanks for your advice!
Offering a counter perspective - I found the SIE to be the most difficult. I took 2 weeks of 5 - 7 hrs M-F to study and prepare. It has the most broad content so lots of material to cover.
79 had a good amount of repeated material, I studied for 5ish days to pass.
63 was easy. 3 days to pass.
How many times do you use a calculator on the 79? I’m trying to get an understanding of how much math is involved. Can I get by without focusing on the formulas and just stick to the regulations?
P sure u can use a calculator whenever you want.
I would expect about 30% of the test to be formulas or calculations.
Ok, I was under the impression that it was about 10% math / calculator use. I guess that is not a correct assumption
Knopman says it’s only about 10-15% math related.
