How Important Is Deal Experience for FT Recruiting?

I’m doing my SA in MM IB and recruiting FT for BB/EB roles. Most of my internship has been pitches, case studies, and modeling because I’m in a niche group, so not any live deal work.

How important is having deal experience for FT recruiting? Should I push to get staffed on something now, even if my role is minor, so I have a live deal to discuss?

Is it worth it to strongly embellish my work on something so it looks like I wasn't just doing case study work the whole summer?
