How many days off did you take in 2024 (IB)?

I took 20 days PTO in 2024, of which I worked on 1-2 days, for a few hours

I work in tech. I take a lot of days off. Like a lot.  🤣

I took ~2 weeks off. Didn’t work any of those days, my bank is good about enforcing not working during PTO

I took every vacation day my assoc 1 and 2 years (~4-5 weeks each), and I’ve rarely had to work on a vacation day

Took 18 days PTO in 2024 (all of my PTO). Of that I had very minimal work.

Use your PTO days, who cares what “”the norm” is at your bank.

You will get extremely burned out if you’re a hardo and don’t want to take PTO bc you’re afraid of looking bad.

Took the full 15 days offered and refused to do any work during them. Checked emails twice per day 

Took about 20 days, always having my work phone on me. Probably worked ~ half of those, maybe 2-5 hours a day.

But I also had 3 holidays cancelled for working all of them

Took 12 days with no laptop / work phone - 3 more just checking stuff here and there

Only idiots don’t take PTO, even as an analyst. I’m a 3rd year now, but my first year I took 17 days off and my second year I took the full 20. Makes no sense not to take advantage of PTO.

I worked maybe a couple of hours on 3-4 of those days
