How normal is it to be getting staffed without an ASO 6 months into the job?

First year analyst here. Is this a common practice? This has been happening more frequently and I appreciate / enjoy the extra responsibility but still feel like I’m new to a lot of things and don’t have enough experience to be calling the shots that are being asked of me…

I feel like I’m playing the role of a clueless MBA associate with the pay, hours and pressure of a first year.

If you break down your current workloads as a first year, what % had an ASO?
