How screwed am I....

Been networking and had a call with an associate....I had a hard time talking to her (I am quite informal) and I don't think we mesh well, she gave very short responses to me and I ended the call pretty quick. Will this hurt my chances during recruitment?

She was very nice I just don't think she liked me

It's just one call. Maybe at that firm you'll have trouble, probably not if it's a big firm since people might talk less and you can space out the conversations. There are plenty of other shops.

"How screwed?" - In the scheme of pursuing banking generally, not at all. It's reps, you're learning, hopefully you can take away lessons from the call and keep trucking

Expect this to happen often. This will not affect your recruitment chances.

It’s best not to overthink these situations (emotions are best left out of networking/business), there’s no telling why her answers were short so don’t let guessing take up headspace and time you could spend being productive. I tend to have good ol boy lingo and some people don’t mesh with it but usually it brings people’s guard down and makes for better flow of conversation. Say fuck it and keep going
