How should I decide what kind of IBD work I want to do? (TMT, FIG, etc)
Pretty much all as the title says. I'm a sophmore currently headed to an investment banking internship ( MM) and am planning on aiming for a GS/JPM/EVR/LAZ/MS SA internship next summer. However, how should I decide what I would rather do for the grueling next 3-6 years in IB? I heard S&T vs M&A was a big one, but other than that what else? For reference, GS TMT sounds amazing and I would love that opportunity, but I obviously don't know clearly why (relative to other BB offers and positions).
