How to improve quickly at the junior level?

Hi everyone..so I'm currently doing an off-cycle ER internship in a (lower) MM. I've been here for 6 weeks, but sometimes I still got scolded by my MD. On the one hand he's helpful because he would directly point out some of my problems that I need to fix for my career, but sometimes he seems to be extremely picky/the other senior interns would put all mistakes on me so I'd take all of them, and I couldn't really argue because they have the numbers

What should I do to improve fast? For example, if I don't understand a question/instruction, can I ask 2-3 questions if I really can't figure it out?

Thanks a lot.
