How to master excel?
any courses or resources you’d recommend? have a lot of time ahead of my internship but no idea how to most effectively use my time to learn and use excel. would appreciate any and all feedback

just go on YouTube.... watch everything you can.

Build sample models with a list of shortcuts on the side and try to memorize them as you go
Repetition is what helped me a ton. Like the posters above, I went on YouTube and downloaded sample models. Then, I took a couple of random 10-Ks and built models from scratch using those. Once you memorize the shortcuts and no longer you need to use the mouse then you’re golden.
This might sound very ignorant but doesn't a 10k have the models in them? Are you just replicating them? Or, is there something I'm missing? Really appreciate it.
Yes. I’d replicate the historical data into a blank sheet (was a useful exercise in formatting shortcuts for me) and then use the historical info as the base assumptions for projecting years ahead. Then I would use whatever I had to make other models (DCF, LBO, Merger, etc). Hope that helps
