With 2020 SA recruiting approaching in the next few months, I was wondering how you can track summer analyst applications while going to a non-target school.
More specifically, how could I know when BBs, EBs, and MM firms open up their applications so I can apply as fast as possible. Also, any tips on how to find other recruiting information would be helpful.

Do you mean ask my connections when applications open up and more generally the whole recruiting timeline. Do you think that would be a too simple question to ask?

Can you elaborate? I'm not much of a tech person, but how could you know when a certain investment bank opens up their application.
You could make a simple Python web scraper for the banks recruitment portals or something and run it once every two/three days.
Honestly, I've never thought about this issue, but it's something I might use as well. I'm doing an internship currently so don't have much time now, but might look into it in the future.
If I'm going to make it I'll just upload it on github so you can use it as well. But it should be really simple, and I don't have many doubts that you could write it yourself.
If your are seriously asking this you aren't made for IB. Excel is your best bet, you can customize your template as much as you want.
