I bomb the online assesment tests

I started applying to the banks and have been bombing all the tests. I already got rejected by UBS. I don't know why this happens, I got 51 in GMAT Q and have been in 0,001% in national tests(even better in quantitive section). I took online assesment tests of Societe Generale, UBS, Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche so far.

I don't know what should I do in order to cope with it. Should I just give up on my dreams because I cannot do them?

PS: I generally score 7 or 8 out of 8 practice questions, but it does not seem to reflect on the test as I can barely finish it and one time not even that.

Your mistake may be working through the questions methodically.

Usually, you can look at the answers and screen out 2 of 4 on instinct as incorrect. You can then normally quickly work out which is correct, or run a simple sense check calc to check.

Also, read the question before you read through all the data. That saves time and saves you buffering up A - Z of information when you only likely need G, J and T data to answer the question.

These questions are often a test of how efficiently you can sort and process data as much as they are testing your quant skills. Unlike school tests, they will give you useless info (just like the real world) to check your ability to sift and sort.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, post threads about how to do it on WSO.
