I love and hate working in banking

To give some context im at a target uni and I am someone that at least in my opinion has been working their ass off for a while. I have known for years that I at least wanted to try banking (obviously i didnt know if i was gonna like it or not yet, but i just wanted to try) and after doing two internships there and already having a third one lined up as a second year student I do love the job(obviously as much as someone can love investment banking) and a while ago I came across an account here talking about how they dont feel like they fit into the banking stuff and they dont like dressing like that and so on. I genuinely feel very similar to how that person was feeling but maybe even more so? I have somewhat of a similar story to the one they told, but I still dress that way to this day in secret with very specific friend group. But also I used to have multiple face piercings, I had snake bites my brow pierced and also my nose and I can't really have that anymore which I am super bummed out about. I can't dress the way I want on the day to day basis, I cant express how I feel/think or what I actually like. I can't say anywhere that I have multiple tattoos and I don't really enjoy the braindead frat lifestyle specifically at my uni. Major problem is that when i read that story I didn't even see how similar our issues were, because I was dating a person that I loved. We were dating for like ~3 years and she just abruptly broke up with me few days ago and already started seeing someone else(crazy timing ik but it isn't really relevant to whats coming). It made me realise that chasing this goal of working in banking and chasing this bag has completely changed who I am and how i behave and that relationship was the last thing connecting me to that world. I feel insanely fake going to my dumbass internship even though im at an amazing university, amazing firm making okay money that i can spend on whatever I want but it doesn't help that no matter what people say about this state there isn't really many gatherings for people with specifically these interests. I get up from bed and grind for something knowing that I won't really make any real friends here. It's insane that I have to watch their stupid shows or some sports im not even remotely interested just so I can talk to them in the office. Even though I would say i do really good work and enjoy the work part of things, I genuinely hate hate hate the silly sports talks or some niche series another intern brings up and other interns start talking about it and laughing about it. My day to day looks like going to work in the morning, being there til like on average until 8-9pm, trying my hardest to larp sports or interests, going home, reviewing my work for the next day and repeat. Now i gotta go back to uni soon and pretend I like some silly activity they wanna do
