IB As A Career Reset?
Hi everyone, I may have the opportunity to join a large boutique mutual fund directly out of undergrad, but I am not sure if their investment style is exactly what I want. If I wanted to do a different investing style (maybe more pod style l/s equity) would I want to do IB as a sort of reset? I have heard it is hard to switch strategies once already on the buy side.
If so, I assume I would be starting out as an analyst as if I had joined directly out of undergrad, so would this work experience give me an advantage over regular college grads?
Thanks in advance to everyone who responds!
