IB: Navigating Social Dynamics

Recently started at an investment banking firm and building connections has been challenging. Often notice colleagues grabbing lunch together or the women from the team organizing drinks and dinners.

While there's no expectation to be automatically included, it's difficult being the only woman not invited when seeing female colleagues gathering socially. The situation feels isolating despite understanding these relationships take time.

Has anyone navigated similar dynamics when joining a new workplace? Any suggestions for breaking into established social circles or building better connections with colleagues?

Any advice would be appreciated.
