Bump. Anyone have experience as a student at an American university applying to these programs?Hold dual citizenship and lived in Canada for 10 years, so have a strong connection to it.

Yes, I recruited last year for SA 2023 and I attend an east coast super target here in the States but am Canadian citizen. Did not network with Canadian banks/satellite offices at all (was 100% committed to NY but applied as a backup/for fun) and received multiple superday invites (RBC, JPM Calgary, TD etc.) purely based on my target school brand name. Ultimately signed with an MM here in NYC but the greatest hurdle for those Canadian interviews was "why move back to Canada" (basically, asking me y I would voluntarily downgrade from NY to a tier 2 city when NY was a lock) and I fumbled hard on that question. Basically tried to just BS my way thru, explaining how I'm Canadian, and my friends and family are all in Canada so I want to be closer to them, blah blah blah.

Hope that helps.

Salute to all my fellow IB soldiers, let the process begin...

So far, I've seen these positions open:

  • RBC Capital Markets  (Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal)
  • CIBC Capital Markets (Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary)
  • Citi Sales & Trading (Toronto)
  • JPMorgan Chase & Co. (Calgary)

Anybody know anywhere else who have positions posted / upcoming?

Didn't notice it first. Thanks for informing me. Any insights on the recruitment process there? I reached out to some analyst but haven't gotten in contact with any of them unfortunately. They're probably getting blown up with messages right now, but how much sway do Analysts have in the process? Thanks for any info you can provide.

Is this the earliest it's ever been for Canada? I thought we usually recruited after the US, but now I see we are on par with US timelines which are already heavily accelerated compared to the past.

MS superdays for targets and diversity was last week so you should have already applied. Will continue with non div regular next month.

A little off-topic, but why are all the Big 4 accounting firms posting their Summer 2024 positions now? Is this normal?

Hey everyone. I am wondering if anyone knows for the Montreal office and IB summer analyst positions, do the big 5 banks require you to be bilingual?

Just wondering if I’m mainly targeting Toronto but open to Montreal if I should be applying for both offices or if Montreal is a waste of time given I’m not bilingual.

They sent out first rounds but certainly haven't finished conducting them yet.

Not gonna say too much to reveal myself on here...if you are aware of Lazards usual process for recruitment then keep that in mind

I applied and haven't received anything. Seems like I got dinged, considering superdays already went out apparently.

Are the difficulty in questions asked in BMO Diversity interviews different than regular processes?

Can confirm — interviewed today morning. Quite possibly the hardest interview I've ever given in my life technically. Grinded through all the guides over the last week but choked so hard on the interview.
