If the media doesn't report on the BofA Associate's Death, how about Veteran Orgs?

Thought about this just earlier, there must be some military/veteran organizations that can issue a statement regarding the death of one of their members. I'm thinking of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) or the American Legion. If done so, this could get the attention of some powerful people. Throwing this out there since I don't have military connections.
