If you had the option to go a different route than IB (In the current environment), would you?

I'm CO 28, and there's a lot of changes around AI, and I assume a lot more between signing the offer and hitting the desk. Will I still have a job?

Is there something that you are passionate about? I honestly feel that the promise of AI is overstated, at some point it will likely be a useful tool, but take a look at the Gartner Hype Cycle https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gartner_hype_cycle

Right now we are at the peak of inflated expectations. The accuracy isn’t good enough and AI has a tendency to confabulate. Also even with good prompts it can struggle, I tried to use copilot to plan a trip earlier this year and gave specific dates and asked for different, non-hotel restaurants, it spat out the same breakfast for three days in a row and recommended places that were closed on the days it recommended them.
