Importance of incoming soph summer internship for junior recruiting?

As the title says, will it in any way be a negative if I don’t have a sophomore summer internship secured by the time I start networking/interviewing for junior recruiting? If so, what is the best way to go about this/get by while minimizing the cons? On the other hand, do firms look highly upon you if you have a sophomore summer internship secured or is it just a “oh cool, good to know” type thing?

I didn’t have one and got an internship at an EB. I never got asked about it. Some firms (PJT I know is one) ask you to put incoming roles on your resume and some might ask in interviews what you are doing your soph summer, but again I never got asked. I also had 3 relevant internships on my resume (searchfund, LMM PE, and VC). My opinion is that if you have some relevant experience already you’re fine. Soph summer is the last summer before you have to work for the rest of your life too so use it to relax and have fun. Again, just my opinion.

Is that cus they were about to give you an offer? Or something that was brought up at start of interview lol

How much does this change if you don't have previous relevant experience? I'm in some finance clubs and have a 4.0 at a semi-target, but I did an academic research internship my freshman summer...kinda worried that I might be cooked.
